Kent Shinozaki, DDS

Dr. Kent Shinozaki grew up in Lodi, California.  He attended University of the Pacific where he received a degree in Biological Sciences.  He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of the Pacific, School of Dentistry.

After dental school, Dr. Shinozaki completed a general practice residency at The Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii.  It was here that he developed his passion for oral surgery.

Dr. Shinozaki then went on to complete a one-year oral and maxillofacial surgery internship at the University of Texas Southwestern, Parkland Hospital, in Dallas, Texas.  He completed his four year oral and maxillofacial residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin.  Following the completion of residency, Dr. Shinozaki served our veterans as a full-time oral and maxillofacial surgeon at the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  In addition to his time at the VA, Dr. Shinozaki held a part-time position at the Medical College of Wisconsin as an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery where he helped train oral and maxillofacial surgery residents. 

Dr. Shinozaki is board certified and a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.  He is an active member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, the American Dental Association, the Illinois State Dental Society and the Chicago Dental Society.

Dr. Shinozaki lives in Arlington Heights, Illinois with his wife, Eiko.  Together with the team at Northpoint Oral Surgery, they look to serve the community providing exceptional care and surgical expertise.
